We are a Dutch freight forwarder. Air, sea, road, rail and special projects, worldwide. From Schiphol and Rotterdam.

Folkstoneweg 48, 1118 LM Schiphol (air freight) and Brandenburglaan 2-I, 3045 AK Rotterdam (ocean freight).
Who is behind SkyWave Cargo?
Founded in 2024 by Thomas Hendriks and Paul Velraeds. Thomas runs air freight at Schiphol, Paul ocean freight in Rotterdam. Together the team brings 50+ years of logistics experience.
How do I get a quote?
Use the quote form or email solutions@skywavecargo.com. Give us origin, destination, goods, weight, dimensions, number of pieces and ready date.
Is SkyWave Cargo IATA accredited?
Yes. We are an IATA-accredited cargo agent, so we book directly with the airlines and issue air waybills ourselves. For ocean freight we work with global contracts with the major shipping lines.
Can I reach you outside office hours?
Yes. Urgent shipments: 24/7.
How do I track my shipment?
In our track & trace portal, tracking.skywavecargo.com, with your air waybill, bill of lading or SkyWave reference.
Which terms apply?
The Dutch Forwarding Conditions (FENEX), latest version.
Air, sea, road or rail: which one?
Air for speed. Sea for volume and price. Road within Europe. Rail in between. Give us your deadline and budget, and we tell you.
Air freight
How fast is air freight?
Usually a few days airport to airport, depending on route and service. Your quote states the transit time.
How is air freight priced?
On chargeable weight: actual weight or volume weight (L × W × H in cm ÷ 6000), whichever is higher. Plus fuel and security surcharges. Our quote is all-in.
Can you fly dangerous goods?
Often, yes, if packed and declared under IATA DGR. Send us the safety data sheet and we check it.
Ocean freight
FCL or LCL?
Up to roughly 13–15 m³, LCL is usually cheaper. Above that, a full container wins. We calculate both.
How long does sea freight take?
From about a week within Europe to several weeks to Asia, port to port. Your quote states the transit time for your route.
Do you arrange trucking to and from the port?
Yes. Truck or rail, between the terminal and your warehouse anywhere in Europe.
Road transport
FTL or LTL?
FTL: the whole truck is yours. LTL: you share the truck and pay per pallet or loading metre.
Do you drive across Europe?
Yes, including the UK.
Rail freight
Is rail cheaper than air?
Yes, considerably. And often faster than sea.
Is rail more sustainable?
Yes. Rail emits less CO₂ per tonne-kilometre than road or air.
Special projects
What is project cargo?
Anything that needs a custom plan: oversized or very heavy items, many linked shipments, or a fixed on-site deadline.
When should we call you?
As early as possible. Permits and special equipment can take weeks.
Cargo to move? We handle it.
